My story is similar to that of many year round residents. I convinced myself that I would go back to Nantucket for "one more summer" after finishing college....25 years later, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
Having an art background and studying graphic design at SUNY Purchase in New York, I have always looked at things with a creative mind. One day while cleaning a coffee table in the shape of Nantucket Island, I noticed that the west end of the island formed a hook, that to me looked like a bottle opener. My love of Nantucket (and beer) inspired me to create the Nantucket Bottle Opener in 2007. Others ideas have since come to me such as the Nantucket Wine-Signs (wine charms replicating the islands street signs and landmarks) and more recently the Nantucket Golf Divot Tool, which also incorporates the shape of Nantucket.
